Andrena Hale doesn’t wait for permission.

A writer, director, and showrunner with 35+ credits across Netflix, ABC, FOX, BET, A&E, and Bravo, Andrena built her name on unscripted television before pushing into scripted feature work — because staying in one lane was never the plan.

Her career started in hip hop, producing music videos and managing legendary producers before she ever picked up a camera on a set of her own. That instinct — for culture, for talent, for the story underneath the story — has never left her work.

Today, as founder of Cake And Candy Ink, she works out of Los Angeles, developing a slate of documentary and scripted projects that reflect the same thing she’s always been drawn to: people who refuse to be small.

A producing partner, not a middleman.
